The Federal Court of Appeals struck down Wednesday (Apr. 13) the ruling that had suspended the appointment of Justice Minister Eugênio Aragão. Appellate Judge Cândido Ribeiro, chair of the court, granted a request from the Attorney-General's Office and ruling that the minister should remain in his position until the Supreme Court issues a definitive decision.

On Tuesday (12), Federal Judge Luciana de Moura had suspended Aragão's nomination at the request of a lawyer who filed a citizen suit claiming the minister could not be both a cabinet member and an official at the Public Prosecution Office.
