With 39 , ticket 2, named Uniting Brazil (“Unindo o Brasil” in the original), formed mostly by representatives of the opposition and dissidents from the ruling coalition, won Tuesday (Dec. 8) the vote for taking part in the special committee on President Dilma Rousseff's impeachment request. The ticket received 272 votes, whereas ticket 1, made up of deputies appointed by leaders from the government's coalition, got 199 ballots. The vote was secret.

The committee is to have 65 full and 65 substitutes. The remaining seats, which have not been filled by the winning ticket, will be occupied after a new vote, to be held on Wednesday (9). Another 26 regular deputies and 42 substitutes are to be selected.
