President Dilma Rousseff called on the newly sworn-in ministers to stay aligned and work with their party benches in Congress to the government, speaking at a meeting with ministers on Thursday (Oct. 8). Following the recent ruling by the Federal Court of s (TCU) against the ing practices of Rousseff's istration in 2014, the government now shifts its focus to the t Congress Committee on Budget, responsible for a preliminary review of the TCU ruling.
Talking about successive absences of a quorum at Congress sessions this week when presidential vetoes were to be voted on, Wagner reported the government told the ministers to seek unity in the governing coalition, since a “heavy” voting agenda lies ahead. “We should carefully watch every move the opposition makes any time now.”
The Chief of Staff said that virtually all allied parties had their say through the ministers, and they will now set out to seek approval of the government's agenda.
Attorney-General Luís Inácio Adams and Budget Minister Nelson Barbosa went over the points argued during the audit of the government's 2014 s to ensure all ministers have a “consistent picture” informing their efforts to seek for the government with fellow party in Congress.
