Robotics event to draw 10 thousand visitors in São Paulo

Robótica 2022—an event offering students, teachers, and research institutions a chance to unveil solutions and projects—is kicking off in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, today (Oct 22).
Organizers estimate that up to 10 thousand people should visit the free-ission event on the campus of the University Center of the Inaciana Educational Foundation (FEI), slated to end Saturday (22).
On its list of activities is the Brazilian Robotics Competition, with university students presenting projects in which robots, without human intervention, must perform everyday tasks. Students from both elementary and high school should also take part in the Brazilian Robotics Olympics, where they must build robots capable of rescuing disaster victims in a simulated environment.
The event is organized by RoboCup Brasil, a non-profit founded in 2007, which brings together teachers and researchers from all over Brazil.
