The League of São Paulo Samba Schools on Thursday (Feb. 10) resumed the sales of tickets for the Carnival parades, to be held at the Anhembi sambadrome on April 16, 21, 22, 23, and 29, 2022.

In January, following the explosion in COVID-19 cases caused by the Omicron variant, São Paulo mayor Ricardo Nunes decided to put off the samba school parades until the week of the Tiradentes holiday, on April 21.

Tickets purchased before the date change are automatically valid for April and do not have to be updated. All revelers have to do is show them at the entry.

Slated for April 16 are the parades under Access 2, starting at 8 pm. On April 21, samba schools in the Access group are expected to perform, at 8 pm. Fourteen clubs from the Special Group will parade on April 22 and 23. On 29, the following Friday, the winning schools put on their show for the Champions’ Parade, wrapping up Carnival spectacles.

Tickets may be bought online, through website Clube do Ingresso, or on site at the Carioca Club box office, in Pinheiros district, Monday through Saturday, from 1 pm to 5 pm, near the Faria Lima metro station. Only the bleachers have seats available. In the following days, chairs and tables for Sector B and box tickets should be ready for purchase.

Entrance fees for the bleachers vary depending on the day and the sector. On April 16, for instance, when Access 2 schools should parade, tickets cost BRL 10. On 21, BRL 50. As for the days with performances under the Special Group, tickets range from BRL 90 to 190. For the Champions’ Parade, prices go from BRL 70 to 90.
