Pelé shows progress after surgery

The postoperative recovery of former football player Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pelé, has been reported as normal. He was itted on Monday (13) to undergo a back surgery.

In May this year, the 74-year-old football legend was hospitalized at the same facility to have a prostate procedure performed. Last December, Pelé had two hospital stays, the first  to have kidney stones removed and the second to treat a urinary tract infection.

Late in the afternoon, Pelé was discharged from the hospital.
