Pelé undergoes surgery to remove kidney stones

Former football player Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pelé, underwent on Thursday (Nov 13) a surgical procedure to extract stones that were obstructing his urinary tract. According to the Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital, the patient's health state is stable.

Pelé had been hospitalized on Wednesday (12) in São Paulo, with stones in his kidneys, urethra and bladder.
