Hooligans denied entry in Brazil

Football fans blacklisted for hooliganism are barred from entering Brazil during the World Cup.
Brazil's government published an ordinance Tuesday (June 10) blocking football fans blacklisted for hooliganism from entering the country during the World Cup. The listing results from collaboration between police departments of multiple countries and was provided by Interpol with the aim of preventing violence in stadiums during the World Cup.
Moreover, foreigners convicted of, or implicated in, child porn or sexual exploitation of minors are also barred from entering the country. The restrictions are in full effect for enforcement by border control and immigration officers at ports, airports, and land border checkpoints.
On Monday morning (June 9), Federal Police held an Argentinian at São Paulo International Airport who is d with Barra Brava, an association of football fans notorious for hooliganism. He had been headed for Rio de Janeiro, but was boarded back home later that same day.
