Flamengo takes the field Tuesday (Apr. 13) against Argentina’s Talleres at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanã stadium, as part of the second round of the CONMEBOL Libertadores Cup. Both the team from Rio and the one from Cordoba city won their respective opening games in group H. The duel starts at 9:30 pm Brasília time.

In their first Libertadores match, the Rio team defeated Peru’s Sporting Cristal 2–0 away from home. Nonetheless, the team’s coach Paulo Sousa is still being challenged by fans, who bought 35 thousand tickets in advance for the match tonight.

Flamengo is expected to have Santos as goalkeeper. The defense trio should comprise Filipe Luís, David Luis, and Wilian Arão. As for the midfield, Tiago Maia, João Gomes, Arrascaeta, and Lázaro; plus attackers Bruno Henrique, Mateuzinho, and Gabriel Barbosa.

The Argentineans from Talleres are also coached by a Portuguese coach, Pedro Caixinha. This is Talleres’s third appearance in the Libertadores, who debuted this year with a 1–0 win over Chile’s Universidad Catolica.
