The government of Brazil decided to postpone daylight saving time in the country until November 18. The period is still slated to end on the third Sunday of February, 2019.
When daylight saving time begins, clocks must be put forward by one hour. The change is adopted in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, and the Federal District.
The change in time usually takes place in October, but late last year, President Temer signed a decree put it off until November.
