Ministry of Economy puts 88 properties for sale in Brasilia

The Ministry of Economy released today (15) a list of 88 properties that it is offering for sale in Brasília, in another edition of Feirão de Imóveis SPU+, which is promoted by the Secretariat for Coordination and Governance of the Union's Heritage (SPU).
Of the properties, 66 are functional apartments, the majority in upscale neighborhoods in the capital, such as Asa Sul, Asa Norte and Octagonal. There are also 21 plots of land, many of which are located in central areas of Brasília, close to the Esplanada dos Ministérios. The complete list can be accessed on the ministry portal .
In the fair, the government encourages the purchase through the proposed acquisition of real estate (PAI). This modality, implemented in 2020, allows any interested party to make an offer on their own initiative to buy an asset of the Union.
If the proposal is accepted by the government, the person in charge must provide a property appraisal report, which must be approved by the SPU. Then, a public competition is opened in which any interested party can also bid, and, in this competition, the initial bidder has preference.
Public competition sessions for properties are always held at 3 pm on the VendasGov portal, and can be accessed through the gov.br platform. Proposals are received until 2:59 pm on the day of the competition.
The forecast is that the auctions for real estate in Brasília will take place in the first half of next year. According to Diogo Mac Cord, special secretary for Privatization, Divestment and Markets, the properties for sale are above all "areas that have been abandoned and unoccupied for a long time, even with great repressed market demand."
The Feirão de Imóveis SPU+ also had editions in which it placed on the showcase properties of the Union in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre.
