Dollar down 1.32%, but up for fourth consecutive week

One day after beating the record, the US dollar posted a sharp decline. The dollar ended this Friday (Jan. 22) sold at R$4.111, down 1.32%. Nevertheless, the dollar price is up for the fourth consecutive week.
On Thursday (Jan. 21), the dollar had reached R$4.166, the highest price since the real was created in 1994. For the week, dollar is 1.6% up.
The day was also marked by a recovery in the stock market. São Paulo Stock Exchange Bovespa index rose 0.81% Friday, standing at 38,021 points. Petrobras shares, which had sharply risen yesterday, had a slight drop today.
